Yes I know, which is why its so outragous they wasted all that money on essentially a lamer trailer. ...have you seen the UK trailer, how do you know it will be a "lamer" trailer
i thought that ad was pretty cool. it was very light-hearted and silly... which is exactly what R&C is all about. the ad probably won't be as effective with the "guy in college" market (which albeit, might be a mistake)... but it can hit that casual Wii-focused market very well (especially since they announce the more consumer friendly $399 price tag at the end of the ad).
it's not a traditional R&C commercial, but it's not bad either, it made it kinda look like a pixar movie which is good :)
EDIT: Sony needs more ads like this, good song to go with a display of the game, then having a good ending like that new PS3 thing and then it saying Playstation 3 at the end that's what they need. Best Ps3 commercial to date.

dude, i simply enjoy the commercial, it's hilarious, and shows the humor/weapons/tools that you will experience in the game. Yes they shold definitely late november release another commercial like the olden days... hehe (using morphray)"oooohhhhh, it worked.... Jerry's a chicken" friend "are you sure we can turn him back?" Classic commercials.

there are four on the ps2 and they are all pretty much the same thing humor gameplay wise so if you like this you should definitely check it out. i would say the first two in particular going commando is even better then TOD up your arsenal was good too and deadlock is the worst in the series but still good.
