Very cool, looking forward to this.

it says their that dvds will upscale only via hdmi connection so that sucks for all the people that have componethtijerina10

the only way to upscale has always been trhough hdmi, even on the up converting dvd players

 What about "the other console" i heard it upscales games through component ...

  The update looks great but i am disspointed that i can't  use the upscaling since i don't have a $5000 1080p DHTV with HDMI ... and my HDTV is only 2005 model so :( its not THAT old ...

oh well i am going to buy a new hd tv anyway but not right now ........

Damn.. Transfer PS1/2 save files from PS3 using Memory Card Adaptor. Previously, users could only transfer save files to the PS3. Now, gamers will be able to transfer data to and from the PS3.

now it might be worth buying after all :)

by the way it says PS1/2 smoothing in one of the screenshots, what does that do?

can it upscale to 720p or 1080i? or just 1080p?

it did say resolutionS so I'm assuming that means all resolutions.
