new SLIM owner, questions here

a couple of hours ago i bought a 120gb slim with ff13. ive been plating for an hour and notices the system was quite hot, and the fans in the back seemed to work really slow. i also have a 60gb ps3, which gets quite loud after an hour of playing.

at night im gonna play 4 at least 3 hours straight to see if the fans kick in. if not, should i return it?

It shouldn't be any cause for concern, just make sure it is well ventilated and is not in an enclosed space.

yeah i keep it sideways. the back of the ps3 is not facing the wall so it has a lot of space for the hot air to dissipate

You should be fine, but if you're that concerned about it, try aiming a small fan too try and alleviatesome of the hot air.

I have a slim too and yes it will get hot, thats the result of such a small case. Still, it should be fine. I play mine for hours on end with no problems.
