Depends on what they'll do with it. I like that they seem to go back to the 2D gameplay of just running from left to right, which is what made the first Sonic games so much fun. Then again, and I haven't been following Sonic too much after the Genesis, Sega just threw in so many dumb characters into that franchise that, if they want to capitalize on them, the whole thing is doomed to fail. Like that one trailer I saw for a different game, where he made out with a human girl?!? What are those people thinking? Are they trying to make some sort of Kingdom Hearts game?
i will need good info before i start to hype it, and and before i buy it i will need to play it first (demo probably) and make sure they got the mechanics right because i played the demo for the first sonic game on the next - gen and that was some trash

not really. i havent cared much about sonic since the genesis. he really didnt reinvent himself (or even translate particularly well) to 3d like mario or samus.
I'm looking forward to it. It looks like it will be closer to the Sonic Adventures on the Dreamcast and I liked those games. Sega Genesis was one of my favourite systems and sonice was one of my favourite games.
yes but only on certain conditions. they need to fix the gameplay and camera, put a good story, and an insane sense of speed. i know the new consoles can do that so lets see if sega pulls it off. despite his recent bad games, sonic has been my favorite character in videogames since i first played the original
i dont really like them going back to 2d. sonic could transition into 3d sooo awesome like if sega would just sit down plan it out and work out all the kinks. the most recent attempt wasn't all that horrible, they just needed to tighten up the controls...alot, fix the buggyness and the lag, and cut back on those damn load times . all of those things are easily possible. segas just gettin lazy
