Hey so all my co-workers keep hyping up this new DLC for Destiny coming out. I gotta say their hype fell on me and now I'm excited for no reason at all. My question is, can I just buy Destiny alone now to do the main quests before getting The Taken King? Or, would buying the Taken King allow me to play the main quests? I've never been so confused. Also, does the main quest continue off onto The Taken King ? Just want to know which copy of the game I should buy if I'm not caring too much to play The Taken King right now at this very moment. Would like to continue the main quest without breaking my pocket on buying Destiny and then the Taken King later down the road.

Thanks in advance guys

@HoVDaHuSTLa1: Just buy the Taken King Legendary Edition. It comes with the base game and all 3 DLCs and it's only $60.

Don't listen to the hype because Destiny SUCKS it's repetitive garbage that gets old fast. Don't waste your money with this crap. TRUST ME you'll regret it if you get it.

Listen to this. It's true. I bought and regret it. I was doing story missions with no real clarity as to why. Characters had no personality. Missions were near identical to each other. It was a grind fest. It makes a good coaster though :)

The game is crap. I tried to get back in to the game but it loses any and all appeal rapidly. Most of the online community for Destiny is cancer.

If you have a dedicated group of tried and true real friends who you're absolutely sure will play and support you in the game, you'll enjoy it for a few weeks, tops. If not, you'll almost immediately regret buying the game.

I swear to God, I blame the public education system.

The game is somewhere between good and great depending on how much you play it.

The guns are, for the most part solid, the action is there, leveling is good.

The game with the Taken King now has random events change during missions. There's still the community missions that come out of nowhere. Thanks to the updates the game is just about as playable solo as it is in groups. Matchmaking is seamless. Community is good and works together especially on the forums.
