NEW TO PS3. Mic chat with firends.

hey everyone.

I recently aquired a PS3 and I was trying to figure out how to chat with someone on my friends list with using a mic. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

to chat in game you need to be playing the same game online. To just voice chat (not in game) go on the xmb to "Start a new chat" then select voice
