new to ps3, what am i missing!!!

I enjoy UT3, but its really a love/hate game. I would recomend you rent it before you buy it.

As for other recomendations, Oblivion comes to mind as well as the new Burnout if you're into those games. Oh and Resistance: Fall of Man is always a good choice.

I actually bought a USB keyboard/mouse combo for my PS3 the other day (though not specificly for UT3). I must say that you can play the game fine either way and it seems pretty balanced to me. There just arn't a lot of servers that allow keyboard/mouse users to play.

Do you have a 360? If you don't, there's a ton of games you're missing.

Orange Box is epic... Lego Star Wars TCS is seriously fun. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is awesome. Motorstorm's pretty cool. Oblivion is the best game on the console (get the GOTY Edition), and UT3 is pretty slick. If you're looking into getting some PS2 games, I can recommend hundreds.

Ratchet and Clank is a whole lot of fun.It is more or less like the others but It is really impressive. The weapons rock.

Resistance- one game every PS3 owner needs

Ninja Gaiden Sigma- only if you havent played the others

Warhawk is a cool one and if you buy it in store it does come with bluetoooth headset that you can use on any other online game

UT3 is really cool, but if your looking for a campaign its not really one it is really just training for the online multiplayer.

Rock Band/GH3

Heavenly Sword is really cool but short, might want to rent

Rainbow Six Vegas is also a good campaign, and multiplayer

Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, and Uncharted are all must buys for any PS3 owner in my opinion. I recommend getting you own copy of Uncharted ... when you start unlocking the rewards, this will be a game that you'll want to play evey once in a while - it's so much fun.
