New to the PS3 (internet question)

Me and my brother are trying to decide which console to buy (Xbox 360 or PS3), the question that will help us decide which console to buy is:

Is the PS3 internet free or do you have to pay like in Xbox live?

Oh and are the prices of the games the same? or are the PS3 games more expensive?

Ok so when the ps3 first came out, there were some issues with the console overheating, is... there some kind of warranty to prevent my 400 bucks to go down the toilet in case something like this happens?

free internet acess includes a browser too.

also, keep in mind the wireless is built in where with the 360 you need an adapter. if your connecting through the wire than no problems eitherway though.

that wasn't a very widespread problem.. I have had the 60GB since release date, slept overnight at best buy for it, and mine has only frozen like twice...all this time... no overheating prob's....and there is a 1-year warranty for the ps3..

i never heard that, but you have to take that up with the store you bought it from. the 40 gigs are newer models than the old ones either way... but i never heard of massive over heatings on the ps3.

Besides I love MGS and MGS4 looks fantastic... and I'm still waiting for FFversusXIII, FFXIII and Kingdom hearts III (the sequel, not the spin-offs)
