I recently purchased Warhawk from PSN and have been playing it a little bit. First off, Id like to say this game seems to be a very popular game as there are TONS of servers to choose from. Id also like to say that it is alot of fun in concept. I do have a question though. Why is it so freaking HARD? I spend on average about 10-15 seconds in the air before I get locked on and blown to bits. I cant seem to target anyone to shoot them down either. So if anyone has any tips out there, Id be very appreciative! Thanks!!

I'd just say practice, practice, practice. Join lower ranked servers so you're competing against people closer to your skill level.

Just practice. Make a server for yourself to just fly around and get the hang of things. Also, ask a buddy to play with you 1v1.

I'd recommend getting your ground skills improved first. Warhawk flying takes a lot of skill and some flyers are very good at dogfighting. New players can be easy targets.

play in unranked or low renk servers, dont use the motion sensing, learn ground combat first and the game is mostly auto aim, so you need to practice a lot

Agreed. Focus on ground fighting until you get good at flying, I'm amazing in a tank. Managed to shoot down 3 Warhawks in a tank on Eucadia map :D

when getting the hang of the game, DON'T use the six-axis, it just makes it more difficult to get used to, incomming missles just use the blue boost and swerve like crazy, youll get the hang of it.

The biggest problem with Warhawk is spawn campers.

Don't use the Sixaxis period. ;) Even the LAIR creator criticized it. :P

This game is very hard on begginers. It takes alot of time. I'm ashamed to say that once i saw that i was getting frustrated and not getting any fun out of it, i gave up.

Yup practice like CRAZY!!!

I think the warhawk/nemesis are probably the hardest things to use in the game! Tanks are probably the easiest vehicle imo

If you really wanna fly about just make sure you keep stocked on all the weapons and chaff big time (and know which direction is for what), keep an eye out for other warhawks on your map/radar...and try using the advanced flight controls they can be confusing sometimes but give you better control for dogfighting....

Oh and watch out for turrets...they have a strange tendancy to catch you off guard:cry: !!!

Well that's what I do anyway and I rarely get shot down, I do tend to randomly crash into mountains etc. tho :P

you will always get shot down rite away when its groudn and air, in dogfights its also bad but you can fight back.

the key is to know where all the missle turrets are and not fly by them or not fly at all. flying itself is the hardest part. know double tap r2 for boost and r2+l2 for powersliding, use pro flight also, easier to steer and dodge imo.

if you want to fly alot play dogfight only servers (map layout will say dogfight)

one time i was playing on this server, ah the small gray base with two sniper posts up high and two warhawk launch pads in the middle

anyway, this guy played like 12 of us just getting in his warhawk in and shooting us down on the ground.

i guess he might have altered the server settings, coz i couldn't find a rocket launcher and all the turrets had exploded.

so me and the other 10 or so guys ignore him mostly go after each other on the ground, so the guy in the warhawk is shooting people and i walk up behind him. now his plane is very low to the ground so i jumped to dodge him but landed on top of his warhawk. i can hear his headset, he had that robot sounding thing on but i know he knew my dot was on top of his on the radar.

so i'm thinking ill fall off or he'll get so high up in the air it'll kill my character. so i drop 3 mines. 3 mines. on top of his warhawk. and i jumped. i set off all three mines, blew him up, got a cool suicide in the process, and got to see my dead body fall in between the falling remains of his plane.

coolest online moment for me ever.

it doesn't help you much but look forward to when you do good, coz its alot of fun.

I used to play this game constanly, and like to think I was pretty good at it and so far this guy has given the best advice. Me and a friend of mine used to practice by ourselves alot, and it is especially helpful when it comes to flying a Warhawk and shooting and dodging missles.

I used to be a good Warhawk player, took a break, and now I'm okay, been playing on Omega Dawn, great stealth knife camping map lolz. I can use the sniper and shoot donw Warhawks that are flying in 3 shots. (they need to be at the right distance though, because obviously when they are close its harder)
