I just bought a slim one and I'm trying to get to it better. I was told it was no good for it to be used more than 4 hours a day... is that true? Does it eventually damages if it's turned on too often?

(I know... read the manual, but this is faster and I'm too lazy...=P)

I played my psp for more than 5 hours, sometimes a whole day when I really liked the game and challenged by it. And yet I don't experience any problems. But every gaming console has their limit so it wont hurt if you let your psp rest for about an hour or so....

Then again, to answer your question I think psp can handle a playing time of more than 4 hours.

Thanks for the answer! Now that I came to think about it it was my mom who told me that... I guess is a mind trick of sorts so I don't forget to study... but hell, that thingy is great! I cannot stop playing MHF2 or Castlevania! My gf hates me lol

Maybe it was your mom's strategy to keep you from playing too much :P ... my gf also hates me for playing, you know what I did? I bought her a pink psp and after a while she got addicted with some of the games and then I was the one telling her to control her playing time.

Playing a game for over four hours is never any good. It is good to take a break and let the body adjust, especially your eyes. Set a limit and then let the psp and you rest a bit. I have found no problems with my psp running like this.
