newly bought wireless controller wont work

it just came with a USB wire that for some reason is NOT USB but has two ends intended for a dualshock 3 controller

ok, i am very very pissed off, 30 quid just DOWN THE FRIGGING DRAIN, it turns out that you need a bluetooth adapter which came with the controller which was inside the case which i unwittingly threw away, as a 14 year old who has very limited financial resource i am enraged.:cry:
