next sony system name...

I think since it does so many things and is marketed towards ages 18-35 it should have a more adult name, "play"station while classic and recognizable sounds kind of kiddy. The name shouldn't really change but...well what do u guys think?

SONY MEDIA PS4

its the same but more modernized, more acceptable, sophisticated. Good for gamers and non-gamers, I wish the day would come when "playstations" are in every home like computers. Where everyone would have one in their living room to go with their TV's. Thats all you need a TV, cable box, and a SONY MEDIA PS# : )

i dont think they will drop the "playstation" name it may not be a 4, but IMO droping "playstation is like Nintendo dropping "Nintendo" name as well.  if its not a playstation then it will just be another media center, or small pc. 

 Now i know im comparing apples to oranges Nintendo is the name of the company, playstation is the name of the console, but the playstation name is like a household name.  I say they keep the playstation name, maybe revamp their logo

i know what you meant, the "4" means nothing, just the fact that its the 4th console from the start, i think they will drop the 4 because like in movie trilogies, most of the time you dont have a 4th movie, either its a remake, or it follows the story but with a totally different name.

I say it will be called " The Playstation"  not any sort of remake, but the Playstation, their motto will be, " We play games, movies, music, all sorts of media, etc. etc. etc."
