NHL 09 or NBA 2K9?

Thats the thing.. I like pretty much every sport.. and i didnt get NBA 2K8 or NHL 08

But im leaning towards NHL 09 now

I'd say NHL 09 .. it is an incredible game ..

If you are a hockey fan you will love the skill stick (Better than 08 ), the skating is more fluid, graphics much better, and the hitting is awesome .. up end so many players. Fighting of course still lacks .. two punch knock outs ..

Haven't played NBA 2k9 yet .. not a big Basketball fan though ..

Because im pretty sure 2K9 fails in Online mode

The online Modes in 09 are sweet .. the Be a Pro online mode with your friends is real fun .. but the EA servers aren't always the best either .. offline though warrants a purchase of this game ..

I don't know about that. MVP 05 was epic but NHL 09 is definetly in the top two.

You need at least two people to play against others .. you make a team, then head into your dressing room, then start a game and it will search other players for you. Sometimes you will play with 2 guys while you play 5 guys .. it's cool.

I don't know about the tournaments .. also they have your typical 1 on 1 .. where you can play as NHL teams ..

MLB 08 The Show is a great game but IMHO it still cannot compete with the perfection that was MVP 05. Well we all agree on one thing; NHL 09 is an incredible game.

2K does do Basketball games right .. but nothing on Hockey ..
