Well you'd be severely disappointed, anyone who knows anything about hockey will be buying NHL10navstar29Well, we haven't seen any gameplay yet, so...
There are gameplay vids of both games. Check them out at YouTube or something. And EA > 2K when it comes to hockey games, always have always will. Can't say the same about basketball though.
Anyways, if you're going to buy 2k10 just because Ovechkin's on the cover, you're going to regret it.

you should maybe do some research before creating this thread.
NHL 10 - first person fighting, board play, shots after the whistle, unique audience, puck playable/shootable from your knees/side, and so on. Like it has been said previously, a real hockey fan will buy NHL 10. They added over 200 gameplay tweaks, most of them being suggestions by us, the gamers.

Don't need to watch gameplay, 200 tweaks on top of NHL 09, the best hockey game ever made = no reason to even look at the competition. Normally I'm not like this, but the team at EA which makes the NHL games is just solid. And 2K has always lagged majorly behind the NHL series.
First off EA has not made better hockey games then 2K since, well this last year. 07 and 08 were pretty much toss ups compared to 2K7 and 2K8, even with the better visuals and skill stick. From 97-2006 EA's hockey games were awful, sorry. To think any differently is because you grew up on as a kid and thought it was so great to play as your favorite hockey team. Realism hasn't even touched the EA hockey realm until 09 and even then it was still heavily arcadish with it's perfect passes, lack of board play and unreal agililty and backwards skating. 2K9 was bad, but it was the starting over point so to speak for the 2K series. That said if anyone bothers to go off anything else than visuals, which are much improved this year on 2K10, and IGN or Gamespot Videos; check out the Developers Insights on 2KSports.com. It may change your train of thought regarding 2K10. I'm not saying NHL10 is gonna be better or worse, because only way anyone will know that is to play both games. I'm just saying there seems to be alot of blind following going on.
