I think the people that will take the PSN+ free month, that weren't paying for it before, are jackasrses who are just as bad as the hackers.

So taking a gift from Sony is just as bad as shutting down their online network and having the FBI on you? That makes sense.

I totally said that. You sir, are a true credit to man's ability to comprehend what is written. And hackers didn't shut down the online network. Sony did that.
The free month of PS+ is an incredibly filthy move that I love them for. I see them putting out two or three really good PSN games when it comes back up hoping people will download them and then start subscribing to PS+ after that initial month. Dirty but slick.

To make a better security. Please explain the full details. Are you a troll? If I may ask.
Accepting a gift is as bad as hacking into the servers and then stealing people's information? How is that the same?I think the people that will take the PSN+ free month, that weren't paying for it before, are jackasrses who are just as bad as the hackers.

WHA... Please explain??
Hackers hacked PSN to get something for free. Or attempted to, at least. People complaining and **** about PSN being down, even if they don't pay for it, and accepting the free month is almost as bad as the hackers. Getting something for free by exploiting a company's generosity or exploiting their security... well there's a line, but it's a thin line. It's still mooching.

I would like to have the official words from Sony on the full extent of the security breach before i start giving a damn about Sony's bribe.
Wasn't there some other stuff Sony was going to give us when PSN is back up. I heard there were going to be some kind of free downloads. I'm hoping for a free PSN game, but the free extra month of PS + is nice. I just want to game online again.
I don't think it's a nice move at all. Don't forget what happens to the stuff you get when that month is over, you no longer have it. They store our personal info without encryption (besides CC) behind a not so secure firewall, they taunt the hacker community while leaving their backdoor wide open (interpret this any way you want), and when the poop hits the fan they dangle this pathetic carrot in front of us to make amends. Granted they don't have to give us anything, but when our identities are at stake I expect a little more effort to regain my trust.touchyourtoesdo you read or do you just talk without knowing what your talking about? passwords are encrypted and are hashed and not even stored on sony servers, your identity ain't at stake, all thats out their is names and address, wow, something i can get from a phonebook or even your facebook or something. Major credit card companies have said their have been no fradulent charges from psn. Another thing, you can keep avatars, wallpapers and discounted games. I'm satisfied with a free month of ps plus and not complaining.
