Is it me or i'm a terrible?. For the last 8 yrs, i been getting into more of the action/adventure genre and beat them. But I never played somthing like this. I made it to chapter 6 and thats where end up for a long time because i'm taking it back.(gamestop 7 day rule).

Yeah having challenging enimes sounds nice but the problem i'm finding is they cheat(if u know what i mean) all of sudden u block an attack than somtimes they all of sudden grab u and stab u just like that. It really feels like ur defenseless The camera makes matters worse.

Maybe because you already beat him on x-box? don't see how that really compares the two.

I am by no means some sort of super gamer but it wasn't that bad. It is very challenging though. It is one of those games you have to expect not to pass each section on the first or second try. You may have to try several times or you may get stuck for a while. If you do get stuck I find if I just leave that game alone for a little while I usually get past that part easier when I return.

Don't be a quiter and return it. Your not a quiter are you?:P

Oh ya! Here's a little tip. If you can find a place where relatively simple to kill enemies infinitely re-spawn you can stock up on orbs so you can keep the life /nimpo potions maxed and also max out you weapons. I found a spot that everytime I re-entered a room bats kept re-spawning. It took a while but was worth it.

Well, that's what they do if you stay still and on the defensive. When you're fighting multiple enemies at once, you really need to keep on the move at all times. If you have to block, only block 1 or 2 hits, then reverse wind (the roll) out of the way. The longer you're just standing there with your guard up, the more likely they'll go for a grab (kind of like what is done in fighting games, doing throws to get past guards).

Also, all of the enemies that have grabs aren't instantaneous grabs. They all have a start up animation. For example, ninjas do a non-slashing flip that goes over your head. Keep your eyes open for these type of cues, and roll out of the way. Keep in mind that you also have invincibility frames at the beginning of the roll; abuse this fact. Rolling just before an attack/throw connects keeps you safe until the roll is over; but with good timing and knowledge on what other enemies are doing, you can avoid attacks and still keep your distance and properly protected.

I was debating on whether to make a video of me doing the 100 ninja challenge in mission mode. If anyone wants me to, I'll do it as it can be a good example on how to handle enemies. Or you can check the various videos on youtube.

I like Sigma. It is challenging but fun. The camera can get annoying though. The story really isn't as intresting as I thought it was going to be. I'm on chapter 7 or 8 (after playing as Rachel) and I am finding my way through. I want to beat the game so I can buy Silent Hill: Homecoming. Sigma is fun though, with a lot action and a lot dieing.

i bought the ninja gaiden sigma, got to level 4 then quit because it was hard. few weeks later, i had nothing to do so i played again and beat the game.

then i played on hard, and it was HARD!!!! quit after getting to level 7. came back a few weeks later and beat it on hard.

its not really hard when you know how to play, the trick is to evade a lot and avoid standing there and block all day.

Attack the two tentacles whenever they're not flailing around. Flying Swallow with either the Dragon Sword or Dragon's Claw Tiger Fang works well for that. Once both tentacles are down, then you can damage it with whatever attacks you want. Eventually the tentacles grow back, and you repeat the process again.

For me it was a mixture of both. Some enemies seemed rather easy to beat. While others seemed almost impossible. Boss fights were the same as well. But I've never played a game that made me more satisfied when you beat it than this one......accept maybe that dang star destroyer level on The Force Unleashed. If you wanna talk about frustrating, try that out for size.

I hate to repeat what a lot of you guys said but, I agree, the original gaiden on the xbox was retarded hard, but for one reason or another I burned through the ps3 version. But I'm glad I did, it was good looking.
