Best part of the interviewÂ
IGN: When are you going to give Evan at Naughty Dog a call and pitch the idea that Ratchet should land on Jak's planet so the two icons can team up? It would be awesome!
keep leaving messages for Evan that we should do a Ratchet and Jak MMO where they travel to earth and team up with Hale and Drake, but for some reason he never returns my calls...maybe the part about ottsel mages was too bold after all.
I'm glad. While I feel the like the only guy who actually liked R & C:Deadlocked, it was clearly the worst of the bunch and the obsession with multiplayer is a large reason why.
Some games do not need multiplayer. Would you make Mario multiplayer? R & C is as solid a platformer, IMO, as Mario ever has been.Â

Of course Rachet & Clank is a good series.Â
Mario Party 1-7, Mario Kart, Various Mario sports games. All of which are definitely not needed, but Multiplayer/online helps.

hes talking about the platform games dont be facetious. Not every game needs online play. Platformers should stay offline. period.[QUOTE="longhorn7"]Platformers should stay offline. period.Deyee
Tell that to the developers of Little Big Planet then.
Care to change your tune now?Â
Care to change your tune about the PS3 in general? You pick on everything..even the Folding project.
To the TC I don't see ANY benefit to multiplayer and I will pick this game up either way :D

When a game comes out that's worth my spending $60 bucks I'll be more than happy to enjoy my $600 dust collector. It's great at playing PS2 games so far.

Pardon me for not sharing this newfound "compassion" for the F@H project. How long has it been available on PC (which most PS3 owners are posting on BTW) that it didn't get any attention, but now that it's on the PS3 STOP THE PRESSES we're FOLDING SOME PROTEINS BABY!!!!
I purchased the shiny speed bump to play video games and I do look forward to MGS4, Little Big Planet, GT 5 even this new Ratchet & Clank, not to watch Blu-Ray movies(or HD-DVD movies), not to fold proteins, not to play PS1 games(nor am I downloading VC, or XBL Arcade Games). I want games to take advantage of my 360s strengths, I want games to take advantage of the Wiis ingenuity(totally dig the controller Nintendo), and I want Sony to pull their collective heads out of their....well....you know and give us gamers some great games to play on the PS3.

Personally im happy with no multiplayer.Dido.Just make the game great and i'm happy.
It lets them focus on other area's of the game and since i never planned to play R&CF:ToD online no loss ...

I see no problem here at all.
I agree with what many have said before me: Multiplayer is not needed in every game.
And to those who bring up the price all the time: So what, every game above 50 bucks now must include a multiplayer part?
How about judging the price by how much fun the game is. If the game is great fun, is reasonably lengthy and was good enough to perhpas play through a second or even multiple times, what's the problem?
Take Shadow of the Colossus, for example. The game was relatively short, no multiplayer aspect whatsoever, but DAMN, what an amazing game! The experience justifies the price.Â
I couldn't be happier :) Up your arsenal, and Deadlocked were way to short and the multiplayer was kinda half baked anyway.
The single player should be top notch then, and since R&C games always have skill points and hidden goodies and newer more expensive weapons the replay value will sure go up since they're really focusing on the sigle player game.
