No tomb raider underworld DEMO for ps3 owner's only 360

IM SO MAD ABOUT THIS BUT ITS TRUE.

Tomb Raider: Underworld" today joined "Grand Theft Auto IV" and "Fallout 3″ in delivering Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content.

The evolving downloadable content landscape has been an interesting one to watch. It's suddenly become the last place for platform holders to secure exclusive content.

But what happens if you're a PlayStation 3 or PC player? You might not like the answer.

An Eidos Interactive spokesperson told MTV Multiplayer the content for "Tomb Raider" is not a timed exclusive and will not appear on other platforms. There are no plans for separate content to be produced for the other platforms.

The content will be delivered in two episodic chunks - "Beneath the Ashes" and "Lara's Shadow." The first, "Beneath The Ashes" arrives by Christmas, followed by "Lara's Shadow" in early 2009. Eidos says the content, combined, will provide "six hours" of extended gameplay.

Additionally, there will be no playable demo of the game for the PS3 version.

Looks like Xbox 360 "Tomb Raider" fans come out ahead this fall. What do you make of this new business practice, readers?

This is actually a good thing. There are tons of games coming out in the next couple of months. This helps me decide not to buy Tomb Raider.PS3videos

About the only thing we can do is not buy it. :P Way too many good games to waste money on devs who sold out. That being said, I will be buying Fallout 3, not sure which console. The DLC can sod off though, I'm not buying crap off Live.

seriously, this game looks like dooky and honestly i never even cared about it or thought about it untill i read this thread.

if it turns out to be good then i'll want a demo maybe but come one. theres way too many GOOD games coming out, who cares about this?

This is BS, as many have stated, the face of Lara Croft was a big playstation icon, all i hope is that things start looking up and the promises of great things when i bought a ps3 are finally realized.

Uncharted was an awesome game but I don't know if it's really comparable to Tomb Raider - or what Tomb Raider is best at, anyway. Legend and Anniversary were both competent games (if buggy) and did platforming and puzzles much better than Uncharted, which is basically Gears of War on a tropical island with a handful of Prince of Persia-esque moments.

If this new Tomb Raider has combat as an afterthought with very little of it required (like Anniversary) that would be great. If, however, they go the Uncharted route I'll be very disappointed.

its some thing bad for tomb raider to not release a demo,after uncharted released and showed how good it is ,so tomb raider need to release a demo so it can show if its better or not than uncharted,I dont think people buy games with out playing the demos these days, I think people play the demo 1st then they take them decision to buy the full game or not.

Underworld was one of two reasons that I got a PS3 in the first place. This kind of stings.

I thought there was a 20,60,and 120 GB HDD.

what crap. xbox owners get everthing. cheaper system, more downloadable stuff. gosh if Sony keeps this crap up i'm going to disown my ps3 and go 360G6games
