Ok i have a 52 inch rca tv but no hdmi port :? and im wondering if i can connect hd up with ps3 but without hdmi like with a regular hd cord?

Yes you may. Simply the buy the "composite cables" they suppoprt HD. They are red, green, blue for video and then your standard white and red for audio. You might have bought these for PS2, in order to get progressive scan 480p. I bought mine at best buy for 25 bucks. But with some luck, you can find them cheaper.

You have a 1080p compatible TV without an HDMI port? Hmmm..... Sounds strange, do it have a DVI input? Even with a DVI input the PS3 can only display 1080p via HDMI. You can use component video cables and get a 1080i signal though.
