Well, you have to create an account under PlayStation Network in the XMB. Then play the game you want online :)

uhm, if you wanna play online, go to settings,
and go all th e way down to 'network settings'
and then from there, you just basically check out your online capabilities.
remember to plug in your ethernet cable @ the back if its not working x)
and ethernet cables come with your ps3.
just incase you didnt know :P

and he said sign up for PSN. (playstation network)
so do that too.

Assuming he has internet of course. Just make sure you have wi-fi and connect to it, you will probably need some sort of password to connect to it. Also you can do a wired connection but idk much about that.

Just go to "Sign up for the Playstation Network" on your XMB. If you have wireless internet, your PS3 will pick up the signal after you go into network settings and have the system search for a signal. It's quite easy to set up. Once you get that out of the way, it's pretty straight forward

you need a broadband connection and either: A) connect your modem directly to the ps3 with an ethernet cable B) a router and an ethernet cable C) a router and set up a wifi connection It is very easy to set up. the only problem you may run into NAT type problems. These are caused by the routers and there are step by step guides to resolve it online. You need to research the routers to see which ones will give you the least trouble.

If you haven't done it already, go to something like setup - internet options(may not be exactly right) and go to scan for wireless networks or something like it. After that just sign up for PlayStation network.

If you allready have the internet at your house it shouldn't be hard. Plug it into the same thing as the computer. Then check around the options in the PS3 network options untill the internet works. You'll be calling people noobs in no time. :p

You will need an ethernet cable, then sign up to the playstation network, then put the game you want to play online in. I only got online a few months ago :)
