not enough fishing or hunting games

thats why i actualy go out and HUNT IN REAL LIFE! hunting games wtf is that there so boring and pointles lol. but ya i have toadmit tho, it takes a long time to get gun liciences and hunting one too, so there should be SOME hunting games not alot tho, and fishing, im going fishing tomorrow, go do it in real life. dont spend 60$ on a video game.

but still casual gamers like these games, but i think there pointless.

They may be pointless but sometimes life can keep you from enjoying hunting/fishing in real life. I used to do both, but since I got a job, student loans, etc etc I can't afford or have the time to do all that again.

i wouldnt mind a GOOD fishing and hunting game. championship bass on the ps1 kept me entertained for hours in the ps1 days.

Lately though they are just bland and boring with extremely bad graphics (dangerous hunt and rapala- all systems avaliable on)

That's what Cabela's games are for. There's one coming sometime soon I think for PS3/360.

Possibly Afrika has you playing as photogropher in Africa I think.

Maybe that could count as a hunting game?

I think the most obvious answer is it really isn't profitable, and certainly not at this point in the PS3's career. The PS2 had quite a few games like that, but rednecks and casual gamers alike are STILL buying PS2s. Every other time I go to my local EB someone is asking about a PS2.

For a lot of reasons, the PS3 obviously isn't the console of choice for casual gamers and the "hardcore" are probably the only folks keeping it alive more or less. Once it builds steam and developers become more comfortable with it you may see more hunting and fishing.

Lastly, hunting games don't make much sense to make when most of what you do in a hunting style game can be done in the myriad of shooters available. As for fishing, I mean, why would you want to do that in a virtual space? Fishing is forever boring until you actually catch something, which gives thrill and I would imagine it would be hard to get such thrill in a game.

If they are part of a larger game they can add something but by themselves they are stupid.Timmeus

*Sigh* I can predict this thread will end up being hunters/fishing vs anti hunters/fishing. I do agree with the OP, there should be more my dad loves those games and it would make a really good gift on the holiday season.TelcharXI
