Not hyped for MGS4 :(

Why am i not hyped for this game?

The first MGS on PS One was one of the most memorable games i've played. Number 2 was also great for me, exept the story, to complex and just to... dumb. Nmber 3... I'm sorry to say i did not enjoy this game very much :( I completed it but that's about it. Now...

I think the reason why i find the first one so memorable is because of the great bosses, story, and my favourite, the real world interfacing. I remember when fighting psycho mantis you had to put the controller down and he moved it with his "mind". And i was stuck like a week, figuring out where the hell to find the CD case to find the frequency for Meryl. Turns out it was in my living room :P Anyway's i love things like that.

What i don't like about MGS4 is the all out war part and the urban enviroment's. Please someone get me hyped!!!

better graphics, the story is pretty good, MORE GUNS!!!!!!, THE LAST METAL GEAR GAME THAT IS GOING TO BE MADE BY Hideo Kojima, etc.....

i liked that Psycho Mantis also read your mind and went "you play alot of Suikoden" or "resident evil" and "final fantasy" .. or he told me that i was stupid because i didn't save too often :lol: But it's not gonna make me enjoy MGS4 any less. Sure i'm not hyped for it, but i'm never hyped for ANY games because Hype is like the bible. lies and worthless time waste. (no offence to anybody tho') but i liked the previous MGS and even the Metal Gear games. (except MGS 2) so i think, or well, i HOPE i'm gonna enjoye the 4th. Questions have been asked. and will now be answered. Will this be the death of our beloved snake(s) or is there more to the story than we might think?... I see. Well MGS4 is not gonna have that James Bond feel to it in my opinion since back in the 60s that's how special agents and spy movies were like and MGS3 was going for that kind of thing from the get go.

MGS4 seems a bit more serious. I dunno what to tell you about drama though. The Joy's atory arc gives me chills to this day!

Also the gameplay mechanics of the jungle with limited radar and batteries running out most likely isn't going to be as significant in MGS4.

Me thinks if you liked MGS2 gameplay you'll love MGS4...besides this could very well be the end of Snake...

You don't need to get hyped over it... let the reviews come... and when you see everyone else have it, you will naturally want it... so no need for hype.. or good hype when the game actually comes out!

You know, In Metal Gear Solid 4, One guard's polygon count in MGS 3, is roughly the same amount of polygons in Solid Snake's Mustache.

i remember i tried a demo of MGS3 on the PS2, couldnt understand the interface or wth i was supposed to do for 30 minutes, and never tried again. i think i ate a snake in a swamp after i parachuted down into it though...

i think if i played one from the start i would like it, but stealth/shooters arent my style, i like adventure games :D
