To bad he kinda retired from the big games and started with the small but all about fun games. Hopefully calling all cars will become a hit on the psn store.
They're obviously going to say things to that effect because if the PS3 fails, they are in turn losing money themselves. Insomniac has been exclusively making PS games and Epic has and is making PS games (UT3 anyone?). So basically if they were to say something negative about Sony or possibly failing that would be the last step before Phil Harrison saying PS3 is going to fail and we know that won't happen. This is not news, this is the media reaching for a story.

I disagree remember the guy who said that the Wii was %$#. Generally people tend to say what they feel, and this is a guy who's been around the block and knows a few things about the industry. I doubt he'll be swayed to say anything other his gut reaction. If he felt the 360 would win he would say so and vice versa.
The only people who actually think the PS3 will fail are 360 Fanboys, and people who work well with Microsoft. The PS3 will be fine and it will make it. The winner will be the gamers cause a lot of great games are coming out across the board. But, I guess its kind of kewl to hear developers realize how powerful the system will be. As they all say in time.

I don't understand how there are 2 pages of this thread and nobody bothers to mention that there is no set definition for "success".
If success is: "Is sony going to reach the same amount of dominance that it had last generation"...than it's pretty clear the answer is no. I don't see the Sony selling 120+ systems this gen like they did with the ps2. The 360 has much more to offer than the original xbox did, and the wii has much more popularity than the gamecube.
If success is: "Is sony going to at least maintain the majority share of the market"...nobody knows for sure. MS has at least made it competitive, but Sony has been a huge name in video games for the last 10 years.
If Success is: "Is sony going to not have to throw in the towel a year after launch"....don't be stupid.

3BILLION DOLLARS FOR VIRAL MARKETING WTF!!! Get that money to the poor or to some charity.
Mark Rein and Cliffy B are two of the biggest sellouts in the industry. They couldn't say enough good about MS or enough bad about Sony until just recently. I bought, played, and enjoyed Gears for all of 3 days then transformed it into another Sixaxis. Thanks for nothing Epic.
