Ill have atleast $46 on it by the time it comes out. Hopefully my mom has enough money to pay it off the day it comes out, then Ill just pay her back when I get the remaining $14/
I think if for nothing else, you could have tons of fun playing GTA IV just messing around with the new engine, physics, and gameplay mechanics. I think its drastically different from GTA III, VC, and SA.

Although I do believe the essence of GTA will be intact, I think the new engine/physics will generate a gaming experience completely different from previous GTA games. Get the game. It's almost guaranteed that GTA will not disappoint.

I'm not getting MSG4 at all because i played the previous ones through my friend and i didnt like them at all and i never bought into the hype in regards to that game. Now as for GTAIV i have it all payed off already so i just need to pick it up. I cannot WAIT for this game i initially pre-ordered it back in May 07...Anyways i'd say go for it, Rockstar never disappoints.

I'm not gonna buy it at all. I'll rent it through GameFly, beat it, then send it back. It's not that I don't like MGS, I just never buy them. After one or two playthroughs I'm usually done with it.

It doesn't. But you have to admit. The whole cops and robbers thing "One type of online gameplay." Sounds pretty cool. And the cops can see the radar, but the thugs cant!

Look, I love GTA, and Im not against GTA4. Im just saying that the graphics are like a great game from 05/06. They are crappy for 08 standards.
You'll be missing out on a lot if you're not going to get it. It's going to be a definate seller and is highly recommend that you get it. I've played the previous games before and it's worth every penny. You won't regret ever getting GTA4.
I will probably get GTAIV because based on the videos it's NOT like SA, which was the worst ps2 GTA by a mile for me. SA added nothing extra that I enjoyed over VC, and most of the returning stuff wasn't as good, because it was the same. For example, all the air travel, 1/2 the map being barren landscape, the stupid food mechanic, and the really stupid storyline are all gone in GTAIV. While GTAIV doesn't even come close to comparing to MGS4 for me, I will still likely get it due to it looking like it's actually trying to change a few things, unlike SA.
