not too many games coming out for ps4 by xmas time

i am looking to get COD Ghosts, watch dogs, killzone, beyond 2 souls (PS3), maybe black list or battlefield. are there any others coming out?

Seem like enough for a while.

Lose Knack, Madden and Drive club and they all look like solid purchases to me.

the new Wolfenstien game by Christmas i think.

Are you joking???? not to many games??? you must be young or very forgetful, ps3 launch was so bad there wasn't a single game to play, ps2 was pretty bad, xbox 360 weren't that good, no console launch is any good or full of games, so many people are forgetting all of this.

The PS4 launch line up as it stands now with exclusives and multiplats is the greatest launch line up i have ever seen, and we still have gamescom and TGS to go for i think a couple of surpises for launch day games. can't wait

The PS4 launch seems like the best PS launch in history.  Knack, Killzone and Infamous (launch window) seem well worth the console alone.  You then have games third party games like Watch Dogs, and The Witness coming out as well.  2014 seems like it will be a good year due to Media Molecule, Sony Santa Monica, and Naughty supposedly coming out with new titles.  The Super Stardust developer is bringing a new game in the franchise as well as another title to the PS4.  The director of Shadows of the Dammed is also working on a title for Sony.  The same can be said for Level 5.  The President of Sony's internal development already said that all of Sony's studios are working on PS4 titles, so I really do not see a software issue at this point.   

ps4 line up is rubbish compared to the xbox one.

I'm already interested in Killzone, Assassin's Creed 4, and Madden 25 plus Bioshock Infinite DLC and PS3 and Vita games I'll be putting on hold as I wait to buy a ps4 (though, if it's good it may be difficult to hold off on GTA V).

Plus, next year we get a lot of cool games, all in the launch window I believe (I can't wait to get Elder Scrolls Online).

PS4 has:

Killzone Shadow Fall -- Looks good if shooters are your bag.

Knack -- Looks like it could either be really good or really bad... not sure yet.

DriveClub

Xbox One has:

Dead Rising 3 -- Could be good I guess, but I played the 2nd game and thought it was meh.

Ryse -- This is an awesome idea for a game, but everyone that went hands-on with it at E3 said it stunk.

Forza

Really it looks like a wash.

Coming within a few months of launch:

PS4:

Infamous Second Son -- Looks cool.

The Order 1886 -- Looks cool.

Xbox One:

Titanfall -- Looks very cool if shooters are your bag, but you can get this on PC if you have one.

Maybe 18 launch titles at best? The Playstation 3 is due in November 2013 so that is just December 2013. Whatever games being delayed into 2014. Like Diablo 3 is now in 2014 for the PS4. 

You say not too many games are coming out but then list off six of them?

Well, the thing is, typically with a game system launch...  You don't have too many games to choose from.

And of the games that are confirmed for launch so far, I'd say the PS4 line-up really ain't bad.  I mean take a look at any Nintendo system, and best case scenario there are 2 hit games right out of the gate.  We've got 3 first party titles that we expect to do well, another 2 first party games on the way, and not to mention several big 3rd-party games like Watchdogs and Assassin's Creed 4, thanks to Ubisoft.  And, there will be PSN games right out of the gate, with good indie dev support.

If you're not pleased with that, then I'm convinced nothing short of a game like GTA or Skyrim will please you for a game system launch.
