November 5th - Assassin's Creed vs Call Of Duty 4

Here we go folks, its finally here. The next generation of Call Of Duty, the current day Marines and SAS, the real deal. And then Assassin's creed, a game which puts the character into what should be a grand Crusades plot, as described on IGN's latest article on the game (something I suggest you read before you vote).

Which will you choose?

For that reason I'm getting Assasins creed on PS3, CoD4 on PC.

Where did you get that from? OXM already reviewed it and said the campaign is atleast 10 hours long, which is as long or longer than any other CoD game. Infinity Ward has really been talking up the story element too since this is the first time they can go with thier own thing and not follow a WWII script. Also, on the 360 version, like 90% of the achievements are for the single player campaign.Atleast provide a link or a source if your going to come with that kind of info.

Anyway, I'm getting both games, I got the CE for Call of Duty 4 on the 360 reserved, and the LE for Assassin's Creed reserved for PS3.

Since the Topic is related to November 5th, and only CoD 4 is going to be available by then, I have to vote for that. But if both games were available on the same day, I'd vote for Assassin's Creed without a doubt, it's way more anticipated for me than CoD is.

Alright, I believe I got them all in there for now.

Some of you are talking about them being different, let's get that done with. They are very different games, yet the $60 dollar price for both is the same. That said, I had to decide on just one, cause most of my money goes to other things than video games. You have one that, as stated, has a large single player campaign with the likes of Sean Connery as a voice actor (one huge reason I'd buy the game ;) ) and surely countless hours of mulitplayer fun. The customization and unlockables are going to be awesome, the solid game modes to be unbelievable and all that jazz. Assassin's Creed is on it's own level, as on one hand you have this deep rich story, which is certainly going to grab you and only give you up at the last second. Its gameplay is deep and a perfect example of a 'sandbox' done right. More or less, you also don't have those pesky ten year olds running around screaming profanities and shooting every crate that looks at them the worng way.

Now, one thing I did realize after making the poll was the fact the games do supposedly come out on different dates. One the 5th, in reality the 6th, and another on the 13th or really the 14th in stores. Anyways, gamestop.com listed both of them shipping on the 5th. However, that doesn't really matter as it's still a poll, and the topic title doesn't need to directly relate. Either ways, if I'm spending my money on COD4 on the 6th, then I'm not going to buy Creed, so the 5th is the judgement day for me and I'm sure others.
