say what you will about GS's reviews, they are easily THE most respected game critics on the web. and even though there is a not-so-subtle XBOX bias surrounding this website right now, their Sony exclusive games reviews have been on the spot, or at least the scoreshave been pretty much the same as the critic average (aside from R&C which got a totally F-ed up review, Warhawk, heavenly Sword and Lair have all gotten scores that reflect the general critic consensus.)

I would say a 9.0 unless of course, Jeff Gerstmann reviews it. He would probably bring it down to 8.5, but this game is certainly not an 8.0.

It seems of late that games for the PS3 can do nothing right. I bet they give it no higher then a 8.

Well it not multi so I say 7.0 vs a 9.0 multi AC.

7.5 - For the GS average for PS3 first-party title;

8.0 - For a lucky moment ...

8.5 or above - For a miracle ...

i would give it 8.9-9.1 base off the demo.

I'm guessing for a AAA average.

well on demos alone.. the bioshoke demo was the best demo i ever played, until i played the uncharted demo. and bioshoke had no online and was a FPS with some cool ideas. I think what naughty dog did with Uncharted is way more note worthy than Bioshock.

i think bioshock got a 9.5. I say uncharted deserves 9.0 or better. but will probably get an 8.5 from GS.

Shady is pretty accurate with his statement. There is no need to set yourself up for disappointments. A demo is still a demo, it gives you a good view how the game is but it is not 100% a hole story.

After all, you will spend 60$ on a game you enjoy right? not because someone gave it different score.

Then honestly.....what happened to the R&C review then? You think people don't have a right to be a little skeptical after that review? Honestly I didn't think they was a bias on this website UNTIL I saw that score. It was completely different than almost all websites. Maybe this was just one mans opinion however it reflects on the entire website when they give a score like that to a game that was obviously much better. Giving Metriod 8.5 is nothing compared what they did to that title. When you have Lems kind of in shock at the same time (due to everyone else giving it AAA) you something is a little off.

8.0 no higher, no less. People don't be mad when it does score an 8.

I hate to shock you Shady, many many reviews from gamespot also were written without finishing the game!

8/8.5 from GS. Destiny of SONY's 1st party PS3 titles @ this site. And with some more humor and amusement, a 7.5. Come on GS, let Aaron Thomas do this review.

I think it will be 8.5-9.5. What is there to complain about except for no online but this is not an online game. I feel like it is a 9.5 right now from the demo.

But personally the question is what is going to be considered the down side to the game?

i beg to differ in the "THE most respected game critics" comment, IGN would probably fit that statement better.

Anyway, most sites will give it a score in the low 9s out of 10. Ign will probably give it a 9.3 or 9.4. Gamespot will probably score it an 8-8.5 to look more "critical" ;). Oh and there will be a hand ful of dumb icons in the gamespot review and no one will understand what they mean.

Based on what I've seen, I'd say it's a 9.0-9.5. Take off the PS3 penalty, and that puts it at a 8.0-8.5 on GS. Or a 7.0-7.5, depending on the reviewer. It will get docked for being too short and for trying to be too much (come on, is it a shooter, a platformer, a driving game? It should just pick one!). If the score is still too high, they will take points off for making them enjoy playing a ps3 game against their will.ianuilliam
