oblivion is a rpg right does it have a good story is there character customization and weapon customization it takes a long time to beat right is there alot to do i can only get into certain rpgs just wonder what yall think of it overall and what is the price now if you know it
i've put over 500 hours on this game and thats cause I hate rpgs theres no weapon customization but everything else you said is there. The story is okay but it is dwarfed in size compared to what the rest of the game can offer. I say you should rent it first tho because its one of those games that you have to play yourself to see if you like it or not.

You should go with the GOTY edition since it comes with the Shivering Isles. There is a lot of character customization, and there's a bit for weapons and armor. The story is alright, but the game is huge and there is a lot to due.

Agree......theres no need customization cause its a rpg game unless it was a FPS. Anyway its a good game. Theres a ton to do and I guarentty you that you won't finish the game less than 100 hours unless of course you decide to use the fast travel system. But then again, if you try to finish the game 100% noless than 200hours worth of fun:P oh ya has interesting story and beautiful scenery
Edit: If you buy this for the comp, you'll be having unlimited hours of fun XD and theres also guilds to join people to kill and dying from a orge
it takes a little getting used to but once you get 2 a high level all you have to do is block power attack rinse and repeat or just jump on top of a rock and shoot arrows at every one (note: brown bears have a nasty habit of clipping to your high position whem doing this)
here's sort of a cheat for getting more gold cause its pretty hard to make money especially in the beginning but join for instance the fighters guild and there should be someone in there that sells and buys weapons and armor now you'll notice that theres alot of weapons u can take laying around inside the house just pick them up and sell them back to the mechant just make sure your not stealing the items.
Hours/dollars this is the game that I got the most value out of; Download the expansion as well, I got my sickest armor from the expansion area nobles.
