hi just wanted to know if a oblivion 2 was coming out soon and if it was will it have online and online where u can go on wid ur mates and other people. plz answer if u know. you can also discuss oblivion in here.
Well it would really be called The Elder Scrolls:V, and it will take place in a different part of the world ala The Elder Scrolls:III Morrowind. If they do make another one this generation it wont be for awhile. I would think they would do it for the next systems, as they did with the last two.
I would love to see a new Elder Scrolls before the next gen consoles hit as well, but I don't see it happening as of now. BUT with the current economic climate game developers are going to be sticking with franchises they know will make $$, so you never know.

Id love to see, with the power of consoles, Ps3 at least, them do one of the whole Elder Scrolls World. Have Cyrodil and Morrowind with Skyrim and all the other places (can't think of them off hand.). I belive this would be great and worth the amazing long time it would take to do. Maybe in time for the next gen right?

If they make it online, it should only be with 3 or 4 other friends max. Or even just 2 ppl co-op would be cool. Not a million 12 year olds running around everywhere ! ------------------------------ Lets not try to turn this into one of those warcraft type games.

Actually it's been 3 years since Oblivion came out in 2006, and Morrowind came out in 2002. That's a 4 year difference, so 2010 seems about right. Unless maybe working on Fallout 3 kept them too busy to work on the next Elder Scrolls game.
I would say that Oblivion 2 will never come out being as Oblivion is Elder Scrolls 4 and Oblivion is the sub title. So their might be an Elder Scrolls 5 sometime.

well and they spent a year extra working on Oblivion for PS3.. and they're doing a bunch of DLC for Fallout 3... i'd say Elder Scrolls V in 2011 is optimistic at best..

If I'm totally honest, I'd rather have a brand new game. Fallout 3 was excellent and Oblivion I thought was not-so-great. I think if they came out with something really original, they could pull it off. Of course it has to be sandbox. Bethesda seem to be good at them.
As others have said, it will be Elder Scrolls V. They will make a sequel definitely. And I'm pretty sure it would come out on PC first, just as Morrowind and Oblivion did. I am playing Morrowind again now, and it is a really great game (on PC). It is much more "RPG-like" than Oblivion, though I really love both games so much.
I would say possible announcement in 2010, if lucky, late 2009. If this were 2007, a rumored release date of 2010 would be plausible, but now in 2009, that is impossible.

I thought he meant Fallout 3 ;>_> IDK what anyone says, Oblivion + Special Targeting + Guns + Apacolypse = Fallout 3. Don't read this the wrong way though, I LOVE both.
