Both are great games, but I'll put it this way (a bit green at the moment hah) After playing through morrowind it totally changed the way I looked at the RPG genre... heck I even had my original xbox name for live launch was Dremora ^.^ also when i started WoW Dremora and variations of it Drem / Dremara etc have become sorta my gaming persona throughout all of my games since Morrowind. Anyways i'll stop rambling along and get to the point.
Morrowind changed the way I looked at RpG gaming.
Oblivion to me came as a game I KNEW was going to be good and had a good grasp on what to expect. Met expectations and more.. but nothing changing my views on the scene ^.^
p.s I love those new candy corn hersheys kisses :O Proceed.
I didn't think anyone was still HAVING this argument, but I'll bite.
Both are great games. Morrowind's strengths lie in the fact that I think it's environments are more interesting than Oblivion's (excluding Shivering Isles), there are more quests (many of which are more interesting than the quests in Oblivion -- or at least the ones that don't involve Dark Brotherhood), and the character customization is deeper and more meaningful.
Oblivion gets rid of the obnoxious fatigue system and adds fast travel options, which kinda make it more enjoyable to me, though. And yeah, Morrowind is looking pretty raggedy these days.
I couldn't get into Morrowind, that was due to crappy combat system, you had to swing your sword 10 times just to hit a mud crab once. I only got as far as getting to the south wall inn or something. I do love Oblivion though. I beat it like 5 times on my 360 and now I am playing through it on the PS3.2SmokinBarells
Oblivion is just so-so. I tried to play it more than 5 times, but never was able to play more than closing the first Oblivion gates. the dungeon in the gate was so stupidly designed, not interesting at all.
Oblivion is the best when walking around the outside environment. So it's such a shame that most combat happens in flat, ugly, dark caves and dungeons.

LoLz funny you say that, when I said that I beat oblivion 5 times, I meant I beat the main quest only once, but I replayed the game so many times because I loved doing thieves guild, dark brotherhood and shivering isles quests. Right now I am lvl 27, I finished mages guild, just about to finish mages guild, completed loads of side quests ie buying houses, master training, and some misc stuff. I did all of that and I haven't been to Kvatch yet. Please Log In to post.
