Not sure if this has been discussed before, but Oblivion for PSP!? Bloody hell mate! How the devil are they gonna pull this one off? Will it be 3D? or 2D? And is Bethesda really developing it?! Bloody awesome! I knew buying a PSP was the worth it!!!

too much content. alot of people wouldnt be happy with oblivion if it looked like gta. Although sony DID just unleash the full power of the psp. Maybe to accomodate for games like elder scrolls
The problem with a morrowind game would be the psp's battery life. I played that game for about 200 hours and my average play session with that game was about 4-8hours. The psp battery life would be a big problem for me.
A direct port, or even a butchered port of Oblivion for PSP is impossible. Morrowind? Now that would be cool, but just try and imagine the control scheme :)
And as far as Oblivion for the PSP, well, see it as an entirely different game, lightly based on the elder scroll series and using the Oblivion name for sales purposes. However, if Bethesda is actually responsible for developing the game as opposed to just publishing it, it should be interesting and worth checking out nonetheless.

agreed, everything they put out is quality, why would this be any different? As soon as I heard about this my first reaction was "how much are they gonna scale this back?" I am definitely gonna check it out. oh and to one of the previous posters- ROTFLMAO= rolling on the floor laughing my @$$ off

idk about you guys, but i liked oblivion and morrowind for the free roaming. just the ability to go whereever you want and do whatever you want. i think this would be great on a handheld

yeah that whould be the best idea ever, but swedfish there is no way they can put morrowind on the psp, it will just be and dungeon crawler, not that that wont be awesome, but it will not be the oblivion you know.
What's worse is when you ask someone why a game is considered better or a must-buy, their reason is "It just owns". Or when you losea game online, the opposing player will say "Owned". What the hell? I might have used the term "ownagism" just to be funny in the past but I'm sorry it's getting real corny just reading it over and over. People can't type well enough to spell out words correctly so they use these terms as a way to communicate. Sad!

PSP Oblivion will be a dungeon crawler with the gameplay aspects of the original Oblivion. It won't be a free roaming world, more that you'll select where to go, then fight it out in the dungeon/cave/whatever. Don't go fooling yourself in to thinking that it will be a full fledged port of the original game, it's a PSP ffs.

It is a Elder SCrolls Travel game. IT is not the same game as is on the PC. It will rule

good christ, look up some screens. OBVIOUSLY the graphics are much toned down, and it is solely a dungeon crawler with a level select interface to get around to your levels. NO open roaming just dungeons and sewers and caves. For god sake read one of the thousands of other forums about this game.
