hmmm i just turned. i wonder if i go back if the cure is easy to get? or will it be the same task as the one i gotta do now?

there are a few plants that are pretty abundant that have the attribute "cure disease"......they happen to work for the disease which brings on vampirism. So just make sure to have some of those plants and take one if you ever get the disease. Easy as that.

Just dont sleep or wait in caves or forts etc as that's where the Vamps can hide out they can only bite when your asleep or waiting, just go to the inns or the guilds as the vamps dont seem to go there.

That only works if you use them as soon as your bitten, if your a Vamp for more than a few days the only way to cure yourself is to do the very long quest.
Another victim:P if you have a load to before u turn into a vampire, go and prat at one of the chapels, or, if you have a cure disease potion, USE it, one is in the cloud ruler temple, upstairs in of the room, i think it was on the left, its on the shelf or something,if not, a long,,painful, annoying quest awaits, good luck!

Actually, you can be bitten while fighting a vampire too. that's how I got the disease before, from fighting with one. But what the others are saying is true, you just need to take something that cures disease and you're good to go
I put in over 300 hours on Oblivion. One ot the main reasons for that was the insane amount of time I spent trying to de-vampire myself includiing following the quest to the letter and STIL not being cured which may be the glitch another poster mentioned. Anyhow I just contined the game and the expansions as a vampire & just dealed with it. The game is still awesome. BTW you can totally travel by day if you are WELL fed. hehe. I wish I had known about getting cured BEFORE the disease kicked in. Of course the games itself gives you numerous warnings that you are getting sick.
If you just caught the disease you can use a cure disease potion or a chapel but don't sleep after having the disease for three game days. if you are a vampire you are going to have to speak about "cure for vampirism" to a priest or healer. you can also talk to Vicente Valtieri if you are a member of the dark brotherhood. the chapel priests well send you to Raminus Polus of the arcane university. he tells you to go to the count of Skingrad count Janus Hassildor. (if you done the mages guild quests you may already know he is a vampire.) he says his been doing research and there may be a woman near the corbolo river. she is south of cheydinhal and very close to squandered mine.

Same with me so i stoped playing for like 3 months then i made a new charecter and i ill just keep on being a vampire on this one.
