Oblivion - lockpicks?

Where can I get some lockpicks? Seem to have gone through all of mine.  Thought I got some off the Orcs.... any help. Thanks.

 Yeah, that's what I had to do to find a couple of torches. HAHA

at the begining of the theives guild quests there is one good chance to buy picks - I suggest buying "lots".

I got my lockpicks mostly from goblins

just pick a whatever cave, go in, kill some goblins, and loot their body

you should be able to find some

and, a little tip, always save your game before lockpicking

so you can always load, in case you break too many lockpicks

do one of the nmissions for the shrines and you will get a unbreakable lock pick!

You should do a quest about the nocturnal shrine,,if i'm not mistaken,,if you do this quest u will only need 1 lock pic,,cuz it will never break,,+ it rasies your lock pic skill alot!dmc_freak978

yep, this is a great quest with an excellent reward, jst north, northwest of Leyawin in the swamps rests the shrine of nocturnal, complete this quest and you'll get the skeleton key, which is an invincible lockpick that also raises your security by +40.

Great item for thieves and assasins.

You can join the Dark Brotherhood. In their hideout there's a guy who sells them to you. Also if you join the thieves guild some of the fences sell them too you too. Or you can go bandit hunting and get them that way haha.

I suggest you get the Skeleton Key.

You can buy lock picks from all fences when you join the theives guild. (oddly sometimes mountain lions carry them)

The above suggestions are great and all, but: all you need is 1 Lockpick ;)

Get 2 scrolls of anything of the same spell, highlight it and press X twice, go to the lockpick and drop it...

Voila! 2 lockpicks :D

Don't duplicate alot of lockpicks at once though, for some reason, it'll make the game lag, alot.

Just to add to this, you need to be lvl 10 to start Nocturnal's shrine quest.
