Easily, easily, easily Oblivion.
Because I thought GTA IV was overrated and I thought Oblivion was (and still is) one of the greatest games ever made.
GTA IV - is a good game but was over-hyped...still IMO a better game than oblivion - but Oblivion too is a good game...bit past its sell by date now Fallout 3 is here

I disagree, I think if anything Oblivion hasn't aged at all.
I bought a new copy of oblivion GOTY edition ( both expansions included) for only 19 euros last week and can't stop playing. If you can buy it somewhere for such a price too there should be no doubt which game to buy. Hope it helps.
if you could get oblivion on the pc, go for that otherwise i'd get gta4. the pc version of oblivion has alot of mods which will make the game even more fun .
I honestly think both are overrated. I own Oblivion and I think that the leveling system is overcomplicated and there is not enough combat, and I've had problems gettin into it. Before I get hate posts saying that I don't respect RPGs I am actually an RPG fan and I would take a good RPG over GTA any day. Maybe as I get further into the game I'll like it more, but I find it hard to get into.
Oblivion will last WAY longer... There is just so much to do in that game! It literally never ends! As for GTA4, you already have SA, so just think as it as the same game but with better graphics.well i liked SA, but i also want a game that will last a long time, and i like RPGs

GTA4 and get oblivion for PC. Better yet, get morrowind too. Oblivion feels much weaker from an immersion and story standpoint than Morrowind. I wouldn't play either without mods though.
Please stop saying GTA4 is over-hyped when you're comparing it to Oblivion. It's the new-age FF7 but without an emotional hook of any kind. Once you get past the physics, neat effects, and endless but uninteresting depth Morrowind's charm and variety wins out.

"New age FF7"? You can't be serious?! And if your are, then you have obviously never played either of them before. They play COMPLETELY different! It's like comparing Super Mario World with MGS! Both good games, but not the same!
