Oblivion problems

Aight, bought the game yesteday, and I've reached around level 10.. I'm running around getting recommendations for the mage guild, however I'm stuck in Cheindal, (or whatever the place is called).. The one with Falcor commanding you get the "ring of burden"... That's all good.. I did it with my first character which I later abandoned since it didn't have the primary skills I thought was cool...

So I got the to point again. However this time.. Deetsan won't give the key.. and falcor just keeps shouting at me as usual... but since Deetsan won't hand over the key, (or at least I can't remember how I did it the first time).. I can't complete the quest, when I can't open the well...

So, is this a bug, or am I just doing something wrong.. in any case, anyone got an idea... kinda sucks if I'm not able to get into the mage university because of this problem..

falcar has to be down in the basement before deetsan will give you the key. because shes scared to talk about it in front of falcar

if that doesnt work then maybe you do have a bug
