Oblivion PS3

Obilivion for PS3 got some pretty high ratings and I was thinking about getting it....but I havent played any other Oblivion game....do I have to play the other ones to understand the storyline or concept of this one?

Nope.  There is like a bajillion books in the game that explain the past if you choose to read them but it is not necessary
