Im a BIG soccer fan and when someone makes a thread about a soccer game no one reply :( all i see is people talking about FPS (first person shooters) i do like FPS but i really really like soccer games and im looking forward to Fifa 08 and Pro Evo 08 :D
Yea I'm a sports gamer here so you can guess I play all types of sports titles. I don't really like playing soccer in real life, but I do like soccer games. (For me) they can be addictive. But like the earlier poster said, I would rather be outside playing the sports I like. I'm just your casual gamer so when I play it's not like I am on 24/7 LoL. ;)

Same here. Not into soccer games at all. The last soccer game I played was for N64 & that's when I had a couple of my friends over. I had just turned 13...I'm 23 now. Lol.
I for one think FIFA is hard body (NYC slang meaning good for the record..though some spell it "haud body" for some reason). although its been a while since i've played one, i do remember it bing real fun and very addictive!
let alone other types of games, HOWEVER right now at E3 Killzone trailer, COD, etc etc released trailers so of course everyone would be talking about them.

sorry pal, but not everyone here is european. yes I do agree it is quite arrogant to refer to a sport thats been around for centuries as something other than its true name, but please don't fault us or waste your time getting upset by something that has become second nature to us! to make it fair, feel free to trash "american football" all you like! as much as I do like that sport, I can clearly see why its brutality is such a turn off!
The name is soccer, and yea I'm looking forward to Pro Evo but I'm not sure about Fifa yet. The only EA sports games I play are Fight Night and Madden... and even the last Madden was kind of mediocre.

I think it makes more sense that "soccer" should be called football. Its almost all feet. American "Football" should be called something else. There isn't much contact with the foot.

I agree with you...but unfortunately, that actually makes sense! and you know they can't have any of that!
Considering none of the soccer players are ever holding guns (at least in the soccer games i've played :)), they totally dont interest me. And to answer your question, yes, all i care about are FPS's. And Gran Turismo. :) :)
Oh yea and TPS's (Third person shooters). IE Uncharted is gonna rock...then you have your action games like Heavenly Sword, which doesnt have any guns really (there is a rocket launcher!), there's still plenty of gruesome violence to be had. I never got much enjoyment out of tripping people in FIFA...I always get red carded!! Darn it....

Seriously go back to your n64 and play goldeneye now go to your xbos and play halp 3 and telle me honest to god if u can tell that much of a difference besides graphics. ITS ALL THE SAME!

And footballs game are filled with intense varieties...
I personally hate football games, or any sport game. Sports are meant to be practice outside and never in a console!

actually David Beckham is coming around where I live to play a game on the 21st? or 18 or 17th. getting tickets. However Soccer is like Baseball for me. I can go to a stadium and watch it, but I can't watch it or play it on tv.

man thats awesome, did you see mexico lose against argentina?do you live in mexico? As for soccer/football games, i really like them. i ve never played pes, but i play fita alot. i wanna get pes this time around because fita is getting boring, the only thing that has me excited about fifa 08 is the new spanish commentators.

Winning Eleven/Pro Evo is one of my favorite series' of all time. I love football. I'm not big on FIFA but I am anxiously awaiting the Konami soccer games. You are not alone.
soccer games rules, specially pro evolution soccer. americans dont like soccer cause their league, the mls i think its called has the worst players ever i mean come on the suck some serious ass. no wonder why they find it boring...
I love soccer(I call it soccer because I'm from the US)! My favrorite teams are Barca and Houston Dynamo since I live near Houston. Oh yea, and they're the best team in the MLS. Anyways the first soccer game I ever played was Striker 96 on playstation. It was awesome. They never came out with a new one so I went to FIFA. I am really looking foward to FIFA and PES this year. I might start playing PES if it's as great as people say. Ronaldinho + Messi + Eto + Thierry Henry = Redemption in La Liga and Champion's League.
