lol Oh man, they were so right to drop "portable" from the name. BTW I don't think it has anything to do with long trips, just playing the Vita regularly most people will have to charge it every other day or even daily - I'm sure the battery life is like 2-3 hours with high brightness and online. And the more often you charge a battery, the quicker it becomes useless istuffedsunnyYour such a Nintendo fanboy all your doing is badmouthing the Vita and your on the 3DS forums saying its amazing.. And for OP sweet =) I tried the 3DS and oh my god i haven't hated anything that much since WII was released. I'm not trying to start a system war, I'm just stating my opinion.
Well i just saw the external battery. (Google images, ps vita external battery). Apparently you don't click it on the device itself, so it's still very portable. It's more like a battery that you can connect to the vita by a charger.
Anyway, 3-5 hours is good enough for me. Never had any problems with the 3DS either. I'm fine with it, i usually don't play that much anyway. (One of the big advantages of a protable device).
