Offline multiplaying

I haven't gone online yet and probably wont for a few months yet.  Just wondering if there's any games you would recommend that have good games for multiplayers offline.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance might  be ok aswell. I havent tried it yet, but I ordered it.. heard good things about it though :)
