Now I can't download demo's cause I need a 40$ a year subscription, screw playstation....at least on xbox you can download everything even if you just have a silver membership, you just can't play online and join parties.

Lol, it's kind of weird that they require you to be a playstation plus member to download the demo. However, the game has been out a long time. Why don't you just rent it or something and get the full experience? To me, demo's are only really useful if the game hasn't come out yet.

On Xbox if you have a silver membership you have to wait for the demos to become available to you.

MAG was terrible IMO

MAG is one of the few demos that requires you to be a playstation plus subscriber. Not that big of a deal people. Just download a demo that you can play.

NO

See the little plus symbol next to a few things, that means you need PS PLus, Pretty much 90 percent of the demos are free demos, just the ones with the PLUS symbol you need PS PLus, MAG is only multiplayer, and PS Plus gets you free stuff, so yeah.........

PSN does have free online play. Early demos is just a benefit to PS Plus membership. XBox Live gold membership has a similer kind of thing going.

I'll still take free multiplayer for all of my games instead of a free demo any day...

mass effect 2, dead space 2, and little big planet 2 were all free last week. I'd take those over a crappy MAG demo any day..

This is a bit more than a demo... You can play all the MAG you want with everyone else but your level is capped at 8.

PSN+ has "full game demos". Which is a bit different than the regular demos. The regular demos are pretty much the same as they always were. Which means probably only 1/4th of games have them, and it's pretty much up to developers if they want to bother with the demo or not. I really don't care much about demos personally, but I guess there's been a few I wish I could have tried out. MAG demo on PSN+ actually didn't come about until the last few weeks even though it's an older game. This has been the trend recently. At the point in which a game becomes a downloadable "games on demand" type title, a "full game demo" gets released simultaneously but only to PSN+ members. I'm a PSN+ member and I still don't even care about these full game demos because they end up being huge downloads more than 5 times the size of a normal demo.

If you're going to try and raise a stink, it should be over something that matters. "MAG"? I'd hardly say you're missing anything, or that your rights as a gamer are being impuned. Online Gaming on the PS3 is still free, so your topic is deceptive and you, it would seem, are poorly informed.

Good Day to you.

With XBL you pay your $50 just to play online, regardless if you want a demo/etc. or not. PS+ will save you money on Games, DLC's ,and exclusive Demos and MP Betas, so your technically only paying a fraction of the cost. XBL, not so much :D, unless you count Avatars as something worth money. Also you get tons of FREE demos anyways, the PS+ ones i've seen right now are only 1 hour trials or whatever, which is actually very good, unless you actually want to waste money on a new game you have no idea if you'll even like.

I also like how you guys never reply back, you just like the squirming.

The MAG demo isn't a normal demo. It's the full game with a level limiter, that's why it's limited to PS+.

I cant tell if the tool is being serious b/c his complaint is so ludicrous. Go back to your XBL then, it's just one less ignorant person on psn which benefits the rest of us.

PS3 has free online, but it doesnt have free games too often(maybe once an year for those PSN downloadable only games), I think that's what you are whining about. Anyway, if you want free games, try pc. btw Your logic is funny

Seriously, what an ass-backward logic and information you have is so weak it's laughable. Besides of all the demos (Mass Effect 2, comes to mind & is most certainly free to download) you could download for free you're getting all bent out about MAG demo. Do you know how long that games been out? It's not the same sort of demo as some on the PSN; it's more like a extended play of (that longer than normal) of the full game.

Having demo's available only to plus subscribers has got to be the dumbest thing yet. A demo is an advertisement for the game - made for the purpose of getting people to buy the game. Why in the world would they limit the number of people who can access it?

LOL. Whatever. Typical.

You find "ONE" of the small percentage of items on the PS network that require you to have a paid subscription and you draw a trollish conclusion like that?? Sounds like flamebait.....

Thats one of a few PSN+ exclusive demos. Its actualy a full game trial. Same goes for those big games released on PSN. Infamous, Prototype and others. Every regular demo is free, just like playing online :P

I suppose its because those full game trials are for the "big" games that were only retail before and have been out for a long time. At least I havent come across any PSN+ exclusive demo for a new game yet.

One thing you'll quickly discover is that the PS Store is complete garbage. I've had the PS3 for years now and every Thursday was a disappointment, eventually I stopped checking updates. But I don't think Live is any better. At one point it was, until they started making Silver members wait a week for new demos. They're no better

It was actually the MAG 1 hour trial. There is no demo. Only a beta that expired ages ago. Think before you say ok?
