OH NO!!! MGS4 is going to be on 360

This is one of the last straws. Indications of many gaming people who are in the know say that MGS4 will make its way to the XBOX360. I was really looking forward to this game as a PS3 exclusive. Given the abysmal sales of the PS3 over the last year this game was a major component to help breath a little life back into our system. Check out the article below. If this article is true then I do not care how big of a fanboy we are the PS3 is DOOOOOMED!!! What do you think?

I would not put it past microsoft since there 2008 lineup isnt strong, and getting metal gear would go along way with360 fanboys, it's funny though how first it was final fantasy 13 then that gets shutdown so they move onto final fantasy 13 versus talk about desperate for ps3 games

Its going to happen, it costs way to much and there are not enough PS3s on the market, plain and simple.

I'm sick of this subject too. It's fake and Kojima already said it's only for PS3, he even furthered it by saying the game is going to use almaost the whole Bluray disc. That means if it did come out, it would have to be 2- 4 discs long, which would costs more to make. Also, he did say he is using a few of the spus for the his game to work properly, does 360 have spus... i think not. And to further note, Kojima said he is not a fan of porting his games to other consoles. He didn't like the twin snakes adaptation and had no hand in the MGS2: Substence. He did though have a hand in MGS3: Substence and did not port the game at all to Xbox. Lets pull one more thing and then I'm going to head to another thread because this rumor is just stupid. Kojima was not pleased when he saw that MGS2:Substence did not bring in alot of revenue (because Splinter Cell wasXbox fans game favorite)and decided to not let Konami do anymore ports of his game.The Metal Gear Solid series have always done well on Sony's Consoles no matter what. Metal Gear Solid 2 actually helped pull in more sales of PS2's and Even Portable ops helped sell PSP's, what does that make you think? Metal Gear Solid 4 is probably do the same and cause people to buy PS3's just to play the game.

Now SquareEnix also said that they will only make the final fantasy series strictly only on PS3. Only Final Fantasy XI and other IP's will split unto other platforms for multiplatorming. Square Enix has no problem loosing money in case not alot of copies of FF XIII aren't sold, they have a ton of money from other developments.

This thread is also old and someone already reported this false rumor. Only 360 trolls would appreciate this news but face the facts. MGS4 and FFXIII are so big, it would take either multiple discs or downgrading the game horrifically to get the games on Xbox 360... You know what, I changed my mind because of what I just said. I would love to see these two games on 360 because they would be downgraded so badly that PS3 ownerswill laugh at 360 fanboys for having a horrible port for a change.

In this era of consoles, exclusivity should be marked with an * because when certain companies are ready, willing and able to write huge checks, anything can happen.

Combine this with the relatively small installed base of the PS3 (compared to other consoles), and the high costs associated with game development, and you have a situation where it is not possible for developers to recoup development costs, let alone make profit. There isn't much money to be made in exclusivity right now, so making a game multiplatform is increasingly possible. Unless, of course, Sony is willing to aid Konami financially, which Sony has been unwilling to do thus far.

Sony has to start locking down exclusive games because if you can get the best PS3 games elsewhere, why own the more expensive PS3? Sony needs to start making some moves before Microsoft opens up that famous check book of their's, because they have, and they will again.

If Sony does not come to the table with hard cash or M$ does provide cash incentive, then this game is going to be on the XBOX360. Believe me when I tell you that no one will care the slightest bit about what we think about Sony or our beloved PS3.

you know what, I'm going togo to a random website that talks abotu games and post that Bungie and Sony made a deal. They are going to port Halo 1,2 and 3 to PS3, bundle it in one Bluray, and improve the graphics. I'm sure it will start up something good just like this stupid rumor that won't die of MGS4 and FF XIII coming to 360.

Next, I'll start a rumor that KillZone 2 is coming to 360, I'm sure the fanboys will love that as well:twisted:!

You may be right and I hopeit gets ported too! This way I can point and laugh at the 360 for once about getting a horrible looking, downgraded, choppy port. PS3 is the way to go and I have no clue why anyone post stupid **** like this in the PS3 forums!
