Oh X-Wing, Oh Wing Commander... Where art thou, oh Descent Freespace?

Do any of you guys miss the old space-shooters/simulators?

I remember having a blast (literally) with X-Wing, Descent Freespace and Wing Commander (well, the first 2 WC, at least).

Imagine how well they would play on current consoles. Imagine a multiplayer Descent Freespace-like campaign with gorgeous HD graphics...

Imagine a game where the Sixaxis could actually be put to good use! :P

Am I alone here, the last of a dying breed? :)

Ya I played all of the games in each series and they rocked. All I know is EA killed the Wingcommander series after they bought Origin...
