OK so now i have MvsC3 (ya i know a little late to the party) and...Jesus Christ

i wanted to like this game. i REALLY did. going in to the game i expected.....well, HOPED that it wouldnt be too noob friendly. unfortunatly that sad realization leaves me wondering what in Gods name were the devs thinking when they made this game? im an AVID fan of MvsC2 and this game just urinates all over its legacy. did anyone else have a problem with the button assignment (not the configuration but the fact that theres only 3 attack buttons now? WTF???) or the fact that theres only one way to launch someone in the air for an air combo (unless im missing something)? im glad i waited to get this game. theres a lot to do which is cool but even for a fighting game, the actually gameplay is so shallow its rediculous. not to compare the two but this feels like such a far cry from MvsC2....i just couldnt help but go back and play it again afterwards.

does anyone have the feelings of extreme letdown like i do? or are you extremely happy with the game? I almost wanna trade it in and get mortal kombat. if it werent for the fact that i have all 3 MvsC games i probably would.....

The only thing I was letdown about was the roaster and the online expierence as it's hard to find a match and theres no way to view matches when in a lobby. I'd have to disagree with you though with the whole noob friendly thing. Yes simple mode is retarded I dunno who thought that was a good idea HOWEVER, I think the 3-button layout works well. Seeing as I'm not an hardcore fighting gamer and I suck at games like Street Fighter and BlazBlue and the old MVC games the button layout allows noobs to get a better understanding of the game. The new three-button layout totally helped me! This was the first MvC game I've actually won a few matches in. MvC2 was way too hard for noobs and this game addresses the issues many people new to the series and fighters all together had/have. However, I do kinda see why you would hate it if your a hardcore fighting fan (which I assume you are ) but hey all I can say is go back to MvC2 cuz the 3rd is a step forward in the sense that anyone can play but its still hard to master completely.

btw I traded this in a while back do to the annoying unbalanced roaster (I hate the Sentinel with a passon!) and I now have MK but I hate MK more than I hate this as MK's ai is cheap and attacks are way more spammable.

I had pre-ordered and when it came I really wished I hadn't bothered. Sold it again inside a week!

I enjoy the game. the only thing that let me down was the character roster.

i just got it(i say in shame). it wasnt too bad at first. i got right into it and thought "whooooop"... but after going online to and chatting to others who play it i heard that people are totalyannihilating eachother using the "simple" control scheme made me want to punch capcom in thethroat with a knuckleduster. I want an upate to filter out players who use it!

I still play the game but not as much as I used to. The things that I really dislike about the game is X-factor definitely, the simplified controlls, the horrible netcode, no replay or spectator mode, and the the fact that the game doesn't offer as many modes. I however on the other hand love Mortal Kombat. I was playing that game the whole time during the PSN outage.

I'll wait til the game is around $20 before I decide to buy it. I mean you can find SSFIV for around that price right now, don't know what's taking this game so long.

People need to realize tho there were 56 or whatever in mvc2 that half the roster played the same they just looked different. Every character even akuma and ryu feels different in this game. Sure there are less but they were all made very well and there are a good range of characters.

i got it day 1, im a big fan of the series as well. yes, the roster is slim compared to its predecessors. milking dlc is the new cool apparently. they toned down the controls so it would be more easily approachable to the less die hard fighting fans. which im fine with too. the mp is what grinds my gears. capcom did such a great job with ssf4 and then give us a bare bones buggy mp on a newer title!? baffling. matches are laggy, takes forever to get a ranked match going, cant watch others while in a lobby waiting. big step back id say.

i really hope they put out a patch to balance some of the other players though. some are way too overpowered (hulk, haggar) some are too weak (phoenix) and then those spam characters that i cant stand (amaterasu, arthur, sentinel, magneto, spiderman, and dante)

i still play it more than any other game at the moment though. and im at 91% on the trophies, so i guess that says something redeeming about it.
