OK wait.. whoa.. Resistance 2??!?

SO there is a 1 player single story mode, but they took away the 2 player co-op mode story?!?... but people keep saying there is 2 player co-op so is it a different story? or is it a versus mode?? please help..im getting it today hopefully i need to know this thanks

The online battle is insane.
