Old psp is better

the old psp is better, just when you hold the new psp u can feel it has cheep plastiicy feel of it puts me of from buying it. The older psp has a nice grip to it, The new psp has a crap umd mechanism.

I lovethe Slim PSP. The back of the Old PSP feels wierd personally, I perfer the iPod Nano-like material on the PSP Slims which makes it shiny. Also the thing is lighter, has TV Output and the buttons are raised a bit more.

My brother has the old fatty, and I just got the slim for Christmas. The slim is definitely better in both of our opinions

To be serious though, I can see where you come from in the cheap plastic feel you describe. On the other hand, I am keeping faith that Sony has build a case that is just as robust as the old PSP. The plastic has a way of making for a good grip to me as well for some reason, maybe it's just my skin - or the various chemicals that seep out of it. Either way, now that they have Internet Radio on PSP I love having my slim even more.

lol im glad sumone said it, i love my slim, so sleek and sexy. but i will admit that it does feel fragile, its only vice.

ive own both ay one point or another, and the slim is just better, you may LIKE it less, but its still better.

i like ford mustang's more then lamborghini's but lamborghini's are better.

Well heres the thing... I love my "fat" psp but ive never actually held a slim psp despite all the stuff ive been talking about it... I dont plan on buying a new psp anytime soon though especially not a slim

The new psp are fragile

a friend of mine dropped his from waist high height and now the UMD drive will not recognize UMD's

we then did some research and found that there is a steel chasis in the phat psp to protect from shock

to reduce the weight sony removed this from the slim

I had this very same thing happen to me. PSP slid off the bed and landed on the carpeted floor. After that no UMD's were recognized. Fortunatly I was able to take it back to Best Buy and they exchanged it for me. The hardest part was finding a store location that still had Daxter pack in stock.

My little brother dropped his on tile floor, and to my suprise, nothing broke. It works perfect. I had a fat PSP and gave it to my dad, so I could get a slim, and I absolutely love it. I find myself playing my PSP a lot more now, but that might just be because of the games coming out lately.
