Eh... wrong forum. Try the "Guitar Hero 3" forum. If you're going to talk about specific gameplay elements in a game, it should be taken to the specific forum for that game. If you're talking about a PS3 game in general, this is the place for it, but if you're going to talk about specifics, use the game related forum.

Thanks. :)

i'm sure the only reason that song is even in the game is so the devs can sit around and pick on all the people who seriously play the game so much, nonstop and put it on youtube because seriously, i think being able to complete that song means you have put far too much time into the game and you probably need to go make a friend or 2

Would you say the same thing about somebody who dedicates a lot of time to practicing real guitar?

Raining Blood and One are my favorite songs on that game. Through the Fire and Flames isnt needed to beat the game so dont worry. and yes, it is impossibly hard

no, because that's something to brag about. something you can make money doing, and something you can consider a profession that would earn you a living. Guitar Hero is NOT even close. Sure you might be good, and you might be able to make a couple grand if you're lucky enough to find a tournament or 2 to conquer, but nothing compared to the millions it would pay off had you invested your time a little wiser in the real thing.... or even piano or whatever.

just one more thing to add...

Jimmy Page

Mark Tremonti

B.B. King

Pete Townshend

Eddie Van Halen

Slash

Joe Perry

Jimi Hendrix

Stevie Ray Vaughn

Eric Clapton....

I will never post again if you can name just ONE person that everyone in America knows, that is famous for playing guitar hero. Just ONE compared to my own personal list of 10 professional guitar players that have a following of fans, and people who they've influenced to play, myself included.

I agree with you. I was just wondering. I've been playing guitar for about ten years and I've really devoted a lot of time to the instrument. I'm still not quite sure how to feel about Guitar Hero. At first, I didn't like it. Now, I don't think it's such a big deal. Still, like you said, it's strange to me that people would spend so much time practicing on an artificial guitar when they could be practicing on a real guitar, and getting much more out of it. *shrug*

I don't get it, but to each his own, I suppose...

i own the game, i play it but it's extremely difficult to do as a guitar player. You know the songs and you try to hit the flipper at different times, since you'd assume it's time for a chord or a note, however, the game does not follow the rhythm or lead of the music, rather than just the key notes that stand out in the song. I find myself much MUCH better at the game when i turn the sound off and just attempt to line up the buttons and hit the flipper at the same time, which in all actuality, is TOTALLY LAME without the music.... But the reason I do it is it definitely helps out my playing, by building and helping maintain finger strength and dexterity.

It's because you actually have to learn something to play the real guitar and guitar hero is easier. That's my opinion at least. I play both but of course would much rather be able to play one's solo on a real guitar. lol
