if sony and microsoft relesed all the tools for making games but it was shortned to make it easier and you got to make any game you wanted from mmorpg's to racing games to fighting games all from your home and when you finished making a game you submitted it into a youtube style comunity and everyone could download other peoples games

Making a quality game takes millions of dollars and hundreds of people with talent.

If it was easy...Then everyone would do it.

If it was that easy to make a game on your own then no one would go out and buy games. Besides your not going to make the next Elder Scrolls oblivion or anything close to it. The most you could make was a lame graphics limited effects and a boring map that you know all the secrets to.

no kidding... AAA titles take hundreds of highly skilled and educated people with millions of dollars in resources at their disposal years to create.

They wouldn't be very good .. do you really know how hard it is to make a game? Because I don't think you do ..

of course as many gamers as there are out that. Many people have ideas but games that would be tight. But if you want an extremely grerat game that will sell, you should have:

-A nice development team

-Orchestra (for that quality environmet feel)

-Nice graphics (its a plus)

-A nice box design to advertise the game

-Lots of money to help create the game, along with more advertisement to get many to found out about the game.

(please let me know if I missed a few things, I know that isnt all)

Just some things like that. I not trying to down you or nothing, its just that its a little harder than it sounds.

Didnt sony have something along those lines in the PS 1 era with Net Yaroze? They could have done a bit better with some aspects of it but they have certainly given it a bash beforeP-Shug

Yeah I remember seeing that in a magazine once. But I think it required you to buy a PS1 that was for the tools/program.

i understand where your coming from , like putting everything from all different games , so like a clear scenario of clear land and then just objects from games etc

i mean I think it is possible to make older version of games like nintendo and maybe supernintendo games with VERY VERY ADVANCED tool kits but even that is stretching it.

I mean I am not gonna sit up here and say that it is impossible for that to happen anything in gaming is possible, but you must understand how many years and hard work it takes to make a game now adays...

But as a dream that would be very cool... and whoever made that game I would like to get them married into my family...lol

Everyday shooter was made by 1 person. PLenty of games were made with very few people. How can YOU not understand this?

Anyone can make games if given the design engine to work with. Give people the opportunity and it's possible for them to bring creativity to a growingly stale market. Right now we are flooded by crap-ware. Most of the games we play are just rehashes of games we've already played a dozen different variations of. Another first-person shooter, anotehr movie-tie-in-game,more sports. Originality please.
