Having played 1 through 3 will really enhance the storyline and some features of MGS4. They included a lot of content and extras with references from previous games. Playing MGS 4 was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.

if your a big FPS fan wait for killzone 2, other than that i highly recommend fallout 3,mgs4,gta4 or deadspace. Deadspace is almost a sleeper hit. its one ofthose realy great games that almost never gets talked about lol.
