wow.i'm having a hard time believing that. that would make it the best looking game out there.. loook at the trees.... and the smotthness.. i dunno...PS3 is starting to show its muscles I guess... :)
I once read that it took an hour for a server farm to render one frame of "The Invincibles". So, no way a PS3 game can come close to looking like a Pixar movie.

That is amazing. R&C is one of my favorite series. Hah, another reason to get a ps3. I guess I won't be getting a wii anytime soon. Gotta save up for the ps3.

Well I wasn't bashing Disney, I was saying that Ratchet and Clank looks like or even better than CGI Pixar movie considering that Ratchet and Clank screens are actual gameplay.  Maybe it should be "Take that Toy Story," because that what Sony said that games will look like Toy Story or even better. However I believe games already surpassed Toy Story movie graphics.
The shots look amazing, and given the history of the R&C series I'm betting we'll be even happier seeing them in motion. One thing I always loved about the games were the designs of the different worlds, with all kinds of touches of "life" as the locals went about their business (the tour on that one level, all the space traffic on a couple). I used to love spending the start of each new world just looking around the starter areas for all the flourishes.
As I said in a previous post, though, my biggest hope isfor a return to the Going Commando (and to a lesser extent Up Your Arsenal) balance of platforming and shooting plus the humorous story rather than what they did with Deadlocked. Oh, and here's hoping for a next-gen battle arena. Man, I loved those!
even if i wus too old i would still buy the game jsut to say i have the best looking game ever lol but im not to old and i will buy it and play it and beat it and get all the skill points :P
GOW looks better because of the sheer detail in that game(no comparison), however this game does have a good look and style to it, and I would never say the game looked back, however it is rather simplistic, but in a good way.

Yea people saying this looks better than gow have obviously not played it, GOW looks quite a bit better, not saying its a better game just a better looking game.

lol keep dreaming, I can't wait to see what the real game looks like. People complained about Killzone 2...Mass Effect has been even worse about proclaiming graphics. As for GeoW, I don't know what all the clamor is about graphically...the game looks average to me. I think the color tones are nice, it has a nice dark overlay to it. However, graphically it's not even close to being the best. Then again, neither are these R&C scans. I'm waiting to see the real Killzone 2 and the real FF13 before passing judgement on what is the best looking game around. As for R&C, I just hope they keep up the work of making the series better ast hey did with each installment. I can't help but think there will be some joke videos in there w/ chimera.

Its far off the cgi quality of pixar movies, not even close...
I owned a 360 for a few weeks after its launch and got rid of it but Gears got me excited. I decided that I would rent it and bring it over to my friends house. We cleared the whole game co-op in about 10 hours max, and even on his 50" HDTV it was not the great graphical experience everyone boasts.Â
Sure Gears of War looks great, but why is it put on a graphical pedestal with other great games such as Ratchet and Clank, KZ, hell even Resistance looks damn near as good. The point is I never have, nor will I ever think that Gears of War set the graphical bar thus far. It simply was not as good of a game as everyone makes it out to be I guess.
