Isn't this a rumor?pcmacro
New PSM says rumble is going to be announced at E-3 and set for a November 13th release date. No big deal, not to me.. Anyways, they then go on to say that Kojima had asked time from Sony to implement it into MGS4, along with Tilt... to appease both sides of the fences.
This is in the rumor section, so don't run away with it... but it sounds logical. source
Oi! WHY DO PEOPLE CARE ABOUT RUMBLE!?
It was just a footnote of the PS2, and yet people are obsessed with it.[QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"]How will rumble steal E3? :|AgentH
Just like the controller did last year. with its introduction and the introduction of the sixaxis. We were all waiting for that day to witness the PS3's NEW LOOK CONTROLLER!!! :D
I'll tell you this for free, the PS3 controller did not steal the show at E3! Best thing of the presentation was MGS4 video, but that was squished the next day by the 15 min trailer.
It is funny how they mention before that they couldn't put the rumble in because it interfered with the sixasis support. Which was total bull considering there was already a controller made by a 3rd party that had sixaxis and rumble function supported for the PSoNe. Not even kidding. pcmacro
what did you want them to say?
they were stil in a legal battle with Immersion
Even Phil Harrisons admits it during an interview on 1UP just after the settlement before GDC
[QUOTE="Devils_Joker_22"]
Last year it stole it for being embarassing though, lets hope it doesnt happen again
G-Legend
Well Sony is planning to show Killzone so let's hope that Killzone lives up to people's expectations and if it does Sony will take E3.
oh yea forgot about Killzone, MGS4, Resident Evil 5, maybe Silent Hill 5, GTA4, resistance 2, warhawk, haze, UT3, etc... damn hell with rumble these games alone will steal the show.
yea im betting killzone will be much better then rumble... i honestly dont even notice its not there half the time for ps2 games...csqwared
Â
I bet you Killzone will be crap. I am so sure this game will not live to its expectation.
Â
As far as rumble stealing the spot light at E3, OF COURSE IT WONT, I just hope it will stay light Â

lmfao, you won't see Resistance 2 at the show more like Ratchet and Clank Future.

I bet you Killzone won't be crap. It has the potential for success and the formula. It's been in development for 2 years, Guerilla wasn't bought by Sony when the first Killzone was released, but now they are so they have more money, better resources, the PS3 to work with which is WAY stronger than the PS2, and a bigger dev team.
AHHHHHH this is such BS!! If this is true that means I'll have to go out and blow another $50-60 on a new Rumble Sixaxis. They should have a deal where you can trade in your regular Sixaxis controllers for the Rumble one..-Ven-Sony better do something like this or they will piss a lot of people.

I GUARANTEE you, you will KNOCK your head against a wall when you'll find out you were wrong about it! I already guranteed a firmware release with the BETA warhawk and why not this one?

yes I would really like that, but I doubt they're going to do it :/
I have 4 sixaxis controllers and it would suck if I couldnt trade them in.. that being said, if I can't trade in I'll only end up getting one rumble (for myself :D)

Maybe some stores will do this?Â
Exactly when is E3 this year?SmokenAshes
July I thinkÂ
Immersion have said that they can add 'Touchsense' technology to the SIXAXIS pad and it wont create any problems for motion sensing.
Â
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=17279
Â
Sony only said that rumble will create problems because the ongoing lawsuit, like absynthetic said, Phil Harrison stated that their (Sonys) hands were tied and they couldn't say anything.
Â
Touchsense, if I remember correctly is a new breed of rumble, its able of doing distinctively differant types of rumble, I remember an article saying it could hum gently like a lightsaber or give hard jolts like firing a machine gun.

Yea, exactly. What do you expect sony to say when they are in the middle of a patent battle?[QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"]How will rumble steal E3? :|ipath4life
I....dont know....
it really is a mystery isn't itÂ

hmm you seem awfully excited. I thought rumble was "last gen". Isnt that what Sony said? Isnt that what all the fan boys said everytime someone would say they missed rumble? Makes you wonder how many other things fanboys deny or play down are actually, in their minds deep down, true....Â
it's a good thing as a supporter of sony I dont mind giving them the money for a extra controller, it's probably a good way to make some of that money back they have lost, And we need to play MGS4 with rumblebigLLL
Funny...if microsoft does the exact same thing, they are being a greedy multibillion dollar corporation. Now Sony does it, and its "aww that poor multibillion dollar corp..im so glad i can spend more money to help them out".
Pathetic how things only apply to others when its convenient....Â

Â
Once again, Sony only said rumble was last gen because they were in the middle of a lawsuit with Immersion, they couldn't just turn around and say "Sorry, no rumble yet because of ongoing legal wranglings"
Phil Harrison has even admitted to this.Â

Â
Same can be said for any 'hardcore fanbase' they all say/wish for such things once every often.Â
Â
Every console has its diehard fans.. there are no exceptions, the saddest individuals however are the trolls who only try to upset/annoy others.Â

Killzone 1 wasn't Halo, and it isn't going to be Halo this generation either.
